Casca is a new project located in front of the Marine of Zea in the Port of Piraeus in Athens. It is a very big café (over 800sq.m) and the main concept was to create an all day café restaurant for all the ages ,from children to middle and over aged people, that is why under the logo is written “friends &family” . Because of the neighborhood of the Marine and all of the yachts in front of the Casca, the name and the Design were based on chic and elegant yachting interior references , with many wooden surfaces , and rounded shapes like the most of the interiors of yacht are.
A rectangular bar has been placed in the center of the café to serve the main area and a secondary bar buffet is placed in the back part of the store , next to a second door for people that enjoying their walk in the marine , without passing through the entire café.
The general design is influenced from the Scandinavian 70s and especially from the style of the architect Alvaar Alto , with minimal and elegant surfaces , and shapes that remind to the costumer that he is in a yavhting environment.
All the type of lights are unique and custom made, designed by the architecture office ZitaTeam.
