The project concerns the creation of a nursery school in the new Psychiko area in Athens. It is a space of 140 square meters and the purpose was to create a very happy and pleasant environment for children of this age.
Pastel colors were chosen in the space, while the general design follows the Montessori education system. Low furniture and bookcases were designed, accessible for little students. A wooden climbing wall has been placed on one side cultivating sports activity. Specially designed lamps in the shape of balloons have been placed on the ceiling, giving the space a sense of play.
A children's sofa in the shape of a dollhouse with hidden lighting and soft surfaces is placed along one wall, while a colorful rainbow is created with wood paneling on the entrance wall. Wooden floors and carpets have been installed throughout the nursery.
