The Fleming is an all day café and cocktail bar , located in the center of the city of Thessaloniki. It used to be a very popular bar for over a decade, named Goldfish . The owner wanted to change the existing concept and upgrading it in to a cocktail bar with resident dj’s .
The bar was transferred in the back area , so the front could be used as an all day café and brunch spot. Because of that the front part has been designed in more opened colors and the back area with the bar and the dj booth, was designed more atmospheric . Behind the bar , 3 huge wooden libraries has been designed for the alcohol display.
The front windows has been moved 1,5 meter to the inside, for leaving an ooutside smoking area, protected from the wind.
The name (The Fleming) was inspired from the author Ian Fleming, the author of the James Bond stories. Because of the dual role of the café and the bar in the same shop, and also inspired from the obsession of cocktails from James Bond.
