Kifisia is an area in the northern suburbs of Athens. It is an area with single-family houses and a high standard of living. The particular building is located in the center of the area, and is a reuse of an existing 8-storey residential building in front of a forest with unlimited views.
The design of the building was done with the criterion of giving a new identity to the existing office building. A new facade was designed and the main focus was on the entrance of the hotel. A large lobby area was redesigned along with the reception. Due to the winter character of the area because it is close to the mountain, hot sweets and more winter sweets were used. In the reception area, a fireplace was designed, which is framed by a wooden paneling. Special lamps suspended from the ceiling of modern aesthetics balance with the luxury of the materials. A specially designed floor consisting of special pieces of marble has been installed throughout the entrance of the hotel.
The rooms were designed based on the orientation of the bed towards the view of the forest. Due to the large surface of glass on the facade of the building which gives a modern feel to the room, warmer materials were used such as wood paneling on the walls. The WCs of the rooms were designed in direct contact with the bedroom following the logic of the view towards the forest
The implementation of the study is expected to start in the coming months, and its delivery is estimated within 2023
