BAR BEE KIOU

BAR BEE KIOU is a new store of the well-known burger chain that has five stores in Athens. The store is located in Pasalimani in Piraeus on the ground floor of a building.

The main request was to design a new corporate identity for the new store which will affect the rest of the existing ones in Athens. The architecture of the building which belongs to the postmodern movement built around the mid-1960s and has obvious betas was taken into account.

The exuberant mood of the brand combined with a humorous color palette led to the architectural proposal of the chain's new store.

The kitchen follows the open kitchen philosophy while an imposing central bar has been designed in the center of the store in an effort to create a vital core in the center.

The selected elements are directly connected to the port of Piraeus and for this reason containers have been placed on the walls while several concrete surfaces remain visible.

Several new ones have been designed in the interior masonry, while the ceiling plate, which follows the waiter plate technique, remains visible and is highlighted with specially designed lighting fixtures.

The store consists of two floors. On the second floor, a more sophisticated aesthetic has been chosen with a red glossy ceiling and wall cladding.

In the outdoor area, a metal structure with a bright inscription of the store's logo dominates, while the lower part of its base is made of stainless steel, a metal bed, giving a street aesthetic to its courtyard area

For the floors, the solution of cement mortar has been chosen, I mean a staircase leading to the second floor has been covered with solid wood. Several street details are present throughout the store. Graffiti has been drawn on the walls and there is a yellow striped pattern on the floor.
