Dorsia is a café bar restaurant located in Glyfada , a northern district of Athens near to the sea.
The Client wanted to transform the excising café into a very elegant bar restaurant with references to the glossy American style of the 60s and with many influences to the cinema movie Great Gatsby .
The main inside area is organized around a triangle bar witch is trying to fit between the many columns of the building.
The ceilings are covered with mirrors so the reflections can give the impression of a higher ceiling. Wooden surfaces are covering the walls to balance the glossy atmosphere of the shiny materials such as copper and gold.
A huge metal construction was designed to cover the outdoor ceiling , mostly to shadow the area an giving the impression of a bigger area.
The old existing wooden floors have been painted by the architect to look like a green carpet.
Most of the furniture have been designed by the architect.
