Burger Joint is a burger fast-food restaurant, which is the newest of the five stores of the Burger Joint restaurant chain in Athens. Due to the age of the existing chain of stores, we were asked to design from scratch the new corporate identity of the store (flagship store) with the same purpose as the beginning of the redesign of the rest of the stores located in Glyfada, New Smyrni and Psychiko.
The Burger joint store is located in Karytsi square in the basement with an entrance from Karytsi street.
The concept was to create a ghost shop which will essentially be a hidden shop with a hidden entrance through the Gloria Gati restaurant located on the ground floor while at the same time the orders for delivery will be prepared from the Burger Joint kitchen.Because of the basement, a New York Brooklyn basement aesthetic with arches and bricks was decided upon.
The walls were shaped in such a way as to resemble weathered walls due to the humidity of New York's basements. For living rooms, the solution of large sofas and individual booths of the classic American dinning rooms of the 60s was chosen. Custom lighting fixtures were designed and placed above the tables while a bar was placed on the left side of the store.
Access to the store is via a large staircase which was illuminated with special lighting fixtures and the graffiti technique was used on the walls in collaboration with various street artists.All the furniture is custom made, designed by the architectural team of ZitaTeam.
